About

Toby Bond is an award-winning composer, performer, and electronic musician.  Toby has both a formal background in music theory (as a music student at the University of Saskatchewan), and a significantly less formal background playing strings and keyboards with the Polaris- and Juno-nominated psych-rock band, Shooting Guns.

Toby has been involved with several, very diverse composition projects over the years, including the 2014 film, Wolfcop (a Canadian film that was released in Cineplex theatres and Netflix) and 2017 the sequel, Another Wolfcop.  Both scores were written in collaboration with Shooting Guns.  The soundtrack received a Western Canadian Music Award for metal/hard rock recording of the year.   Music from the Wolfcop soundtrack is also featured on the AMC TV series, Riding With Norman Reedus.

Other composition projects involved classical arrangements for strings and/or piano, which were written, performed, and recorded in-house.  See the “Examples of Previous Work” section to hear these techniques in action.

Live recordings are carried out at the Pre-Rock Records recording studio.  In most cases, the entire music creation process, from conception to recording, is done in-house.
